Guillaume Valli

I was born in the French Alps in 1991 and studied Cinematography in Paris. I moved to London in 2016 for a change of career and to study Fine Art Photography. In 2016 I graduated from the MA Photography at the London College of Communication. My practice is currently based on documentary photography, with a particular interest in Street Photography and its History.

For 251, I developed a series of pictures which aims to underline the ephemeral nature of the urban landscape. I wanted to give an impression of lightness to the South London Skyline, rendering buildings and traffic as transparencies or focusing on smaller scale details where natures blends within concrete. The Elephant&Castle Roundabout and its immediate surroundings were an ideal playground for this, acting like a glade among the newest towers on the London South Bank.
